Fabian Ong

Fabian is a PhD Candidate in Digital Financial Technology at the National University of Singapore’s Asian Institute of Digital Finance. His research focuses on leveraging blockchain to enhance ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) reporting, particularly in granular carbon tracking. By improving data accuracy and transparency, his work aims to equip stakeholders with reliable information for better decision-making in sustainability and investment strategies.
Prior to academia, he worked in blockchain community strategy and engagement, serving as Director of Community at BlockGroup and Community Director at Serotonin. In these roles, he led efforts to build and manage blockchain communities, working closely with marketing, PR, and growth teams.
